Mullaghmore
Mullaghmore
A beautiful sunrise emerges from the East while brisk spring fog slowly lifts over the instantly recognisable landscape of Mullaghmore in the Burren.
Behind the Image
The Burren is one of Ireland’s most revered landscapes and a geographical wonder in the west of the country. This particular morning, all my research and planning came together as I arrived on location with the sun rising undisturbed by cloud and the lack of wind allowing beautiful foggy conditions to occur. The undulating limestone terrain of Knockanes & Mullaghmore are so iconic to this landscape that I felt one of the best methods to capture such a scene was from the air, allowing the combination of enough elements; light, fog, lake and limestone to merge into this scene.
