Behind the Image

I find no greater symbol of coastal safety than that of a lighthouse. Often bearing the brunt of mother nature and located in some of the most isolated areas, these solitary dwellings typically face arduous conditions most of the year. In this instance, however, I had timed this image to coincide with some rare good winter weather to show the limited sights only seen by the fortunate few that still operate these structures in their stunning settings.
