A small rustic cabin sits nestled beneath one of the many mountainous peaks overlooking the Tara River Canyon in Montenegro, Europe’s deepest canyon and the 2nd deepest in the world behind the Grand Canyon in Arizona.

During a long-awaited visit to Montenegro, a country of sheer stunning beauty, I had taken a drive to the North of the country to visit Tara River Canyon. This phenomenal location was brought to life during October as the autumnal colours adorned the various species of trees along the river bank and beyond. I noticed this small hut nestled amongst its deciduous surroundings which painted an idyllic retreat in such a peaceful location. All of this, coupled with an exquisite pastel skyline of the setting sun, evoked a dream-like painterly scene that is to date, one of my favourite images.
