Behind the Image

On this day, my planned image over the stunning Lough Hyne was thwarted upon my arrival. An attempt to summit the small height of Knockomagh Wood to gather the incredible views over this area was prevented as it was sealed off by the council due to severe storm damage within the woodland. Never to waste an opportunity with the excellent weather, I made a change of plan to head for the iconic Baltimore Beacon. This gorgeous evening painted the landscape with a beautiful glow as it began to set in the southwest while the tranquil sea breeze was interrupted for mere moments by the occasional seagull making their presence known.
