Discovering Lough Inagh is one of the many joys in West Galway for anyone willing to meander beyond the most notable pit stops within the county. With one of the first unopposed views of the Twelve Bens of Connemara National Park, they rise significantly over this stunning lake. I have found myself many times driving out as early as possible to find a unique perspective and hoping the weather would cooperate to capture the first light gracing their Eastern shoulder. Fortunately, this particular morning was in my favour and there were no clouds to prevent the Spring dawn light from illuminating the mountains in just the way I had hoped.
